Outpatient Care

Diabetes and endocrine clinics are held at Stephanie Marks Diabetes Centre at St Peter's Hospital and on the Ist Floor in the Outpatient Department at Ashford Hospital.

  • Young adult diabetes clinic and dedicated transitional clinic
  • Diabetes foot clinic
  • Joint renal diabetes clinic (with Dr James Marsh, Consultant Nephrologist)
  • Insulin pump clinic
  • Diabetic antenatal clinic covering diabetes mellitus and endocrine problems (held in Abbey Wing) - this is a joint clinic with Obstetric Consultants
  • Community diabetes clinic at Woking Community Hospital

  • Specialist thyroid / parathyroid clinic (both sites)
  • Specialist obesity clinic for medical and surgical treatment of morbid obesity

Inpatient Care

Patients with diabetes who are admitted to hospital with diabetes related reasons are usually looked after on Maple Ward at St Peter's Hospital.

We have three Diabetes Specialist Nurses (DSNs) providing support and care for all people with diabetes who are admitted to our hospitals. The DSNs cover both St Peter's Hospital and Ashford Hospital (Mon - Fri). Our DSNs support other healthcare professionals and patients to ensure safe discharge planning.

The Diabetes clinic is based on the first floor of the Outpatients block at Ashford Hospital.

The outpatient facilities at St. Peter’s Hospital are in the Stephanie Marks Diabetes Centre located at the front of the hospital site.
